PAKRYL is composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L—lac—tide (PGLA) It is coated with calcium stearate and 30:70 poly(glycolide—co—L—lac—tide), available for dyed (violet) and undyed (beige).

Indications:

PAKRYL sutures are indicated for soft tissue approximation or ligation and ophthalmic surgery, but not in cardiovascular or neural tissue TENSILE.

50% tensile strength at 18 days, 0 tensile strength at 28- 35 days.

Absorption:

Absorption of PACRYL sutures is essentially complete between the 56th and 70th day.
